Greetings and welcome! Thank you for being here.
Those of us who’ve been lucky to grow up in or have come to be in an equine lifestyle understand how much the industry has been shrinking, but also how valuable it is.
It does take a “village,” and this is my way of putting my talent/skill set to work to give back to an industry that’s given me joy my whole life.
Can telling the stories of local horse enthusiasts and small-scale breeders save the industry? No. But I believe doing so can be a grassroots assist to regional clubs and breed organizations, because recognition matters.
What it is
The purpose of A Horse Alliance is to share as many human-horse, horse, and barn friend stories as possible.
I will publish them here and also offer them to local, regional, and national magazines and outlets for reprint (for free).
Multiple breeds, all disciplines. (But with initial focus on Appaloosas)
What it isn’t
It is not in competition with with any other publication, outlet, or group.
It is not a forum for judging or discussing organization rules, systems, or breeder choices.
It is not event coverage. The associations are best at covering their events, and other outlets do a great job of augmenting that.
Overall, I hope it will be uplifting and a success.
I’m just getting started, still learning how best to set up this website, but thrilled to be launching this project and grateful for your support.
